SEK-Dublin is proud to go down in history as the first school in Ireland to be authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation to teach the Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme. SEK-Dublin was founded in 1981, and since then thousands of students between the ages of 11 and 18 have been taught by its International teaching team.

The school welcomes local day students and international students to whom two options of accommodation are offered: Boarding on campus or Home Stay with local families. 

The school is part of SEK Education Group, which has an extensive history, offering an education programme meeting SEK Schools' rigorous quality standards since 1892.

We have long history of educational innovation, as part of a wider group we have schools in mainland Europe and the Middle East, including a tall ship in the Mediterranean, which acts as a base to study sailing and marine conservation as well as our own university. Indeed, for over 130 years we have been preparing students for their future. As a fully independent school we have the freedom to offer an alternative to the traditional state exams. We were the first school in Ireland to offer the prestigious International Baccalaureate Middle Years (MYP) and Diploma (DP) programmes.
